Our Foundation

Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct (2 Tim. 3:15-17; 1Pet. 1:23-25; Heb. 4:12).

  • We believe in the one true God who has revealed Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and that it is impossible to come to the Father by any other means than through the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. We further believe the Holy Spirit has come to glorify the Son and to convict the world concerning sin, righteousness and judgment (Matt. 28:19; John 1:1-14; Deut. 6:4; John 14; Col. 2:9; Heb. 1).

  • We believe that repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ produces the work of justification (Luke 22:20; Rom. 5:1,9; Heb. 13:20; Eph. 2:5-8).

  • We believe water baptism is commanded of every believer, and is a necessary requisite for going on to spiritual maturity (Matt. 28:19; Mark 16:16; John 3:5; Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16; Col. 2:9-14; 1 Pet. 3:20-21; John 5:5-8; Rom. 6).

  • The Lord's Supper (Communion) is to be taken regularly, served in a spirit of love toward His Body, and shows the Lord's death until He returns (1 Cor. 10(Matt. 26:26-29; 1 Cor. 10:16-17; 1 Cor. 11:23-26).

  • We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a necessary and vital experience for every believer ((Acts 2:4, 10:44-48, 19:6; Eph. 1:13; 1 John 5:8-12).

  • We believe salvation is by grace through faith, is a free gift, and wholly without human works (Rom. 3:27-28, 4:1-8, 6:23; Eph. 2:8).

  • We believe all believers are one body being members one of another, and the bases of our fellowship is in Christ in the power of the Spirit (Rom. 12:3-8; 1 Cor. 12; Eph. 2:13-22, 4:3-6; Col. 3:15).

  • We believe in the five-fold ministries of the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers given to the church, and that they continue to be needed and should be expected today (Rom. 12; 1 Cor. 12:28; Eph. 4:11; 1 Tim. 3:2-12; Tit. 1:5-9).

  • We believe tithing and giving of offerings are to be practiced continually by all believers and are outward expressions of the unity of the Body of Christ (Gen. 14:20; Lev. 27:30-32; Num. 18:26; Mal. 3:8-10; Matt. 23:23; Heb. 7:4-10).

  • We believe the nine gifts of the Spirit (1 Cor. 12) should and must be operative in the Church to enjoy the fullness of God.

  • We believe in the doctrine of the laying on of hands for:  the confirmation and/or ordination of ministries (Acts 13:1-3); the impartation of spiritual gifts (1 Tim. 4:14; 2 Tim. 1:6); the impartation of the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 8:17-18); the ministry of healing to the sick (Mark 16:18); the confirming of the believers in the faith (Acts 14:22; the blessing and dedication of children (Mark 10:16).

  • We believe in the imminent, personal return of our Lord and the restitution of all things (Matt. 23:29, 25:31, 24:42-44; Mark 14:62; Acts 1:11, 3:19-21; Phil. 3:20-21; 1 Tess. 4:14-18).
